VPN “Error 51: Unable to communicate with the VPN subsystem”
I have been using Cisco VPN for Vista (version 5.0.05.0290) successfully for many months. Within the last month or two I started to get the following error message and am no longer able to connect: Error 51: Unable to communicate with the VPN subsystem. Please make sure that you have at least one network interface that is currently active and has an IP address and start this application again."Vista Home Premium (32 bit) with SP2 and all windows updates on an HP a6220n. I also notice (under Control Panel\Network Connections) that my "Local Area Connection 2" (Cisco Systems VPN Adapter" is Disabled. Even after enabling it I have the same problem.I'm now wondering if a windows update from a month or two ago may have changed some things...?Also using McAfee Total Protection Service 5.0.0 Patch 003.Appreciate any help / insight. Thanks!
